Hello fellow sports enthusiasts! It’s time, once again, for another edition of The Trader’s Arena Newsletter. Alot has been happening so let’s get right down to business.

A couple of months ago, we merged with and absorbed Cardboard Collectors.com. Alot of you former CC members haven’t made an appearance yet and we’d like to let you know that you are more than welcome here at TTA. Your old CC username is still active, but you’ll have to do a password reset. If you have any trouble logging in, please e-mail BSC at webmaster@thetradersarena.com and he will gladly reset your password for you, enabling you to log in to your old CC account.

Some new features have been added to the site recently to make your forum experience more enjoyable.
We’ve added a radio channel to the site that will allow you to listen to your favorite music in the background while you enjoy the forums.

We’ve added a site auction feature, TTA-Vbay! This enables anyone on the site to auction their items to other site members for PayPal, Money order, or Arena cash. You’ll find site sponsored auctions there as well.
We’ve enhanced the iTrader feature as well. You can now search through the iTrader for other members looking for items or selling or trading their items.

Member Site donations have been very generous over the past month and we have almost reached our goal to purchase that ever elusive Trade Manager software for the site. It won’t be long now!

Be sure to drop into the site Chat Room on Sunday evening at 7:00 pm EST for our weekly Trade Chat. The Chat Room is also open 7 days a week/24 hrs a day for any member.

Our site membership is growing weekly, but we’d still like to see more of you collectors, as well as your family members, enjoy the site. We gladly welcome members of all ages and interests to the site. We are fully COPPA compliant and have a top notch Moderating staff. Come and see all that we have to offer everyone here at TTA!

The Traders Arena is proud to have a partnership with Collector Revolution: The Future of Collecting is Here. Collector Revolution is providing collectors an alternative to eBay, and it is looking to be a great avenue to sell your cards. The creators of Collector Revolution have seen the greedy ways of eBay and allowed for sellers to get away from the thing they hate the most: Final Value Fees. CR as it is called, has a much better fee system, but even right now, there are different ways to enjoy free listings, and free credits.

Also, there will be no features that have been mentioned such as auction formats, and a new option coming soon where sellers can choose another option to paying upfront!

This site has the chance to be really big, and they want you to be apart of the future of collecting.

Well, this has been a stellar week at The Arena. With the merge of TTA and Cardboard Collectors, we have doubled our membership and things are busy around the site. We have just installed the long awaited feedback system with the trade manager coming soon.

As promised, we will be having the return of “Deal or No Deal” this Sunday night in the chatroom. Should be a huge crowd, since Sunday evenings are set aside as trade night, and with this contest added, it may be standing room only. Come early and stay late. If you need more info, look here: Link

Here are some news and updates about the current happenings around the site:

• We recently moved over to our permanent home on a vBulletin forum layout. Many people are used to this forum style and it is the best of the best. There are 2,000 plus add ons for us to choose from! Please send us PM’s about some things that you would like to see implemented on the site and we will try to accomodate. 
• We have finally reached 100 members! We are still growing! Invite your friends, prizes are randomly given out to good referrers!
• The Arcade is back up and running with tons of games!
• We curently have some very nice contests up and running right now.
• The NFL Playoff Contest has started! All you need to do is pick the winners of the current playoff matchups (and as they ween down the field, pick those matches as well) plus the tiebreaker questions.
• Win 50 Arena Cash if you can answer the 4 questions in our NHL Contest regarding some of the next games.

Happy New Year from The Traders Arena Staff!

As a nice New Years surprise, we have moved the forum to a VBULLETIN software! This is the forum of all forums to have, and it has 2000 add-ons that we can place on it! This new board has an integrated FlashChat right on the site (no new window), a huge Arcade, and an Arena Cash system. We are also looking at putting in the most up to date iTrader Trade Manager system! No more trade tracker forum, this trade manager will have ALL your transactions so that you can keep track of it all. With it, you will be able to create trades, confirm trades, dispute trades, and cancel trades. It is state of the art and a great tool to keep track of all your deals.

Last night during our busiest Trade Night ever, Santa Claus made a surprise appearance! He had a bag full of goodies for a lot of the traders that were in the room last night. What a great surprise to our loyal members. I am sure they will have an even better holiday when their packages arrive from Santa. From unopened packs, to lots of their favorite players, to Autos/Game Used, Santa delivered a great Xmas treat!

For those who don’t know, Trade Nights are every Sunday night at 8 PM EST, 7 PM CST. The staff gives out tons of goodies on trade nights so come on in and join the fun!

Hello again, here is a post outlying our current features of the site, as well as new, exciting ones once we move to an even better board software, vBulletin.

- Live Chatroom: Our chatroom is the latest version of Flash Chat, complete with different rooms as well as a way to Private Message members within the chat. We also use the chat to have Trade Nights, Contests, Deal or No Deal, and just to pass some time.

- Arena Cash: Arena Cash is earned by posting or referring people to the site. You get 500 Arena Cash for referring someone and minimal for posting, but it all adds up. In the future you will be able to buy cards with these points in a shop type set-up. By signing up you are also given 100 Arena Cash.

-  Referral Program: In your profile, everyone has a referral link. You can put this link in your signature on message boards, or profiles, and send it to your trade buddies. This will bring more people to our site to increase the traffic and amounts of trades you can do! The more you bring, the merrier. You earn 500 Arena Cash per referral.

- TTA Site Admin Auctions: These special auctions are brought to you buy the staff. You can get some great cards and while you do it, the money the card brings in will go straight towards the site’s management fees and other things to bring you more great features.

- Site Registry: With these feature, you can post your website or photobucket in one place. This entire forum will have a comprehensive list of them all for easy access.

-  Brand New Board Software: In approximately one week, we will be changing over to a vBulletin board which will have even more features than our current site. All the features will be the newest updates that some sites don’t even incorporate yet. And the best part is, there will be a fully functional TRADE MANAGER!

- Trade Manager: Coming Soon! The Trade Manager will track all your trades instead of the current trade tracker forum we use.

-  Deal or No Deal: We are bringing back Deal or No Deal very soon! We have run this in the past on other sites and it was a great success. Everyone is a winner, but the big question is “Will the greed get to you????”
